I am building a new media server and wanted expandability for the future. I took CL's CoolerMaster Stryker which has 9 5.25" drive bays and knew what to do. I have 6 drives to put this thing in now! I recently bought two of these - and will probably buy a third. One of the ports on the first device was DOA, but Revain did that for me and I only had to shut down the server for a few minutes to replace the swap. The DOA port was worth one star in this rating. ICYDOCK confidently occupies the market in its niche. Unfortunately, it doesn't have many competitors. While this device performed well for what it was designed for. It was almost impossible to take it out of the case and pull it out. It will certainly not work in every case. Those with inner bulges to friction fit 5.25" rims will not fit. If your system has three 5.25" drive bays (even if that means removing the DVD drive and using an external one) and has 5 available SATA ports on your motherboard, then your tower needs this thing!
