Very handy to always have on hand

These connectors don't always replace nuts but sometimes they are really handy. Very easy to use and I found it particularly useful for connecting outdoor low voltage lighting. While probably not necessary, I like to use these in combination with heat shrink tubing to ensure nothing moves.

Pros
  • great price
Cons
  • write later

Super strong clamp handle

I almost gave up on wire nuts after using them. I've used at least two dozen of these and they work flawlessly in all applications. The handle is strong enough to pull the wire out of the connector, it took all my strength (it's a little easier if you twist). They also take up less space than a wire nut and multiple connection types are very useful. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Better than wire nuts

They're great for connecting electrical switches and outlets. They are smaller than wire nuts, grip better and make the job a lot easier. The only downside is that they cannot be reused. So make sure you are secure before connecting. It's also better to go with a core than stranded wire, they work, but it's not as good a connection as a core. Overall happy with the purchase

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Ideal for permanent joining of solid wire

These terminals are very handy for solid wire. They are permanent so don't use them as a temporary connection, use zip ties first and then finish with these clips. They don't work well with stranded wire. It takes a lot of twisting and wire feeding to get them to snap into stranded wire. I will never use stranded wire, but will again for AC wiring unless it's a temporary connection or stranded wire.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

A must have for DIY'ers or projects that require organization

Personal experience: Personally I'm not a fan of wire nuts so I found them still acceptable by electrical standards. It's more of a turnkey solution, while wire nuts make it easier to add or change patterns in the future. Extremely easy to use, just plug the cable into the port and you're done. Pros: Ease of use. Conforms to electrical standards. Clean look after installation. Cons: More difficult to replace or modify the wire.

Good for tight spaces.

I need to fit a GFCI into an old work box that was REALLY narrow and one of the leads was very short. These connectors allowed me to connect the wires together and get the job done. However, the guides must be STRAIGHT, otherwise it will be difficult to set them correctly. Planting wires in tight spots can be tricky, but once planted they hold up. I wouldn't use them in places subject to high levels of vibration and movement as the wiggling of the cord will separate the cord from the plug. I…

Good for easy, clean wiring

These have revolutionized the way I wire my home. I first discovered these when renovating my first home and found them to be much easier, more reliable and cleaner than swing covers. I've since bought a new house that had messy wiring and occasional wiring issues. Well I found two junction boxes that had the old plugs unscrewed and the ends of the wires were exposed and the connection was unstable. Miraculously the place didn't burn down. I fixed the problems with these connectors in minutes…

I still love her, but there was a downside.

I'm only reporting for others like me. I love these connectors. I don't know what happened, but it was an outlet connected to a hotline. It was hooked up to a microwave and I'm not sure if that was the reason or not. It is possible that the plug has failed due to the power consumption of the microwave. The microwave had reset symptoms like the amp it was pulling was pacing but the microwave was still doing its job so I just assumed it was the microwave. I've been working a bit on changing one…

Ideal Wire Connectors

Overall this product works well for connecting wires to convert a 4ft beam from fluorescent to ballasted LED. With the ballasts removed and one set of tombstones (straight wire) and the other neutral (direct wire to tombstone) turned on, there were many connections to be made. The variety of cables to be connected and the large selection of lights in this product series have saved my wrist from twisting ordinary cable nuts. The connectors accept 12 gauge solid wire and several smaller stranded…
