Good quality filters, very nice but watch out for themes.

Received this item and noticed a slight light at the start of the thread, didn't think it would hurt anything but upon installation I noticed it didn't look straight with the pipe and took it back and it resulted in the threads being warped just enough to look crooked, i have installed many of these filters and many plastic thread fittings with no problems, i really want this product not to have this flaw as it turned out to be useless and my Loading is junk, I don't want to return it because…

Installation requires manual dexterity, not recommended for weekend DIY jobs.

I like well water and the water comes out yellow-orange. It has rust in it. I also live in an apartment and do not have access to the running water that feeds the house. I bought this to prevent my clothes from turning yellow in urine. They have a 3/4NPT thread, also known as a garden hose, the same thread as the washer/dryer fittings. Sturdy filters with good construction, taking precautions to avoid leaking threads

I returned the first set of 3 because the threaded connections were leaking badly. As a locksmith I've had the opportunity to inspect threads and didn't like what I found, but it could be a problem with plastic threads. Getting a good seal is a balance between using enough sealing material (tape or glue) and having enough density to seal, but not so tight that the plastic cracks.
