As advertised. Rinse thoroughly several times before pouring into the fabric softener tank. 1 bag was enough for a standard tank. Remember to get the right funnel.

I weighed the gravel and it actually weighs more than what the seller said. I'm sure everyone would agree with that. I washed the gravel a few times before adding it to my water softener unit as part of my DIY refill unit project. The conditioner will be a bit milky, so I would recommend rinsing the gravel out well.

I didn't use it as intended but should have seen the result I wanted. I have very hard water in Florida. I filled a mesh bag with gravel and placed it in an aquarium filter set on a 30 gallon fish tank. After a few weeks of use, my water levels stayed the same. With the addition of baking soda my PH became neutral, my KH is high and my GH is very high at the bottom of the chart, no change after using the gravel.
