Deal with weeds quickly!

Great tool! Fantastic tool! I cannot say enough on this subject. He quickly copes with weeding, getting to the base of hard roots that look like dandelions. However, you must get on your knees. I just rub and feel very satisfied. It's worth every penny! If you pull the weeds yourself, no gardener should be without it - it's like having a second person with you. make it fast Now if only they would do it with a longer handle so I could stand up.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

The best tool ever! for hand tools

I bought this 4 years ago and it's the best garden tool I've ever bought. Can't believe more stores don't stock them. It's absolutely amazing! Easy to use and does so much more than weed. I use it in my flower beds and plantings and use it to loosen hardened soil. If you're a gardener and don't have one, you'll kick yourself as soon as you try and wonder why you didn't get one sooner! If I could give 10 stars I would. I would also like a longer handle.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Watch your money and your hands.

Cheap, rough, untreated wood. You'll get shards once you pick this up. As the wood is untreated I would give this product a day or so in the garden before it starts to swell and crack, maybe a month before the sickle falls right off the handle. It seems that this item cannot be returned or refunded, so in order to make it last at least part of the season I have to do a lot of sanding and finishing work on the cheap wooden handle.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Dodgy

Great tool, very versatile!

I bought this for my mother and I to use in our garden. She says it's the best tool she's ever used and I think it's very good too. We've used it for everything: scrub, clear weeds, dig roots and dig trenches. We worked really hard on it and it's still holding up great. It has a few chips on the blade but I think that's from hitting the rocks in the ground. I plan to sharpen it and keep using it until it fails and we will definitely be ordering another one.

That's some really great work cutting weeds underground - they are.

I ordered this for my yard a few weeks ago (20ft x 35ft). This is a fabulous tool! While weeding might be a more thorough method, cutting weeds underground does a really good job - they will grow back, but this sickle cuts weeds surprisingly quickly. I wear heavy leather gloves as they are very sharp. The only downside is that it has a short handle so you have to bend down to use it. Other than that, it's great. I don't know how long the blade will stay sharp or if it can be sharpened, but I'm…

Best Hand Weeder

This Japanese weeder is very sharp and durable. This foot-long tool works in pull mode like most Japanese hand cutting tools. Before using it, I had to sand the rough wooden handle to an acceptable smoothness with 220 grit sandpaper. But the 4.5 inch blade was perfectly straight and razor sharp. It handled stubborn weeds in concrete cracks very well. The left hand piece cuts into uneven concrete cracks to trim weeds even when used with the left hand. clean shave. On hard ground, I can dig and…

Weeds are afraid of this tool. In earnest. SPICY!

I'm an avid gardener from Wyoming where our weeds are often mistaken for trees. Sometimes I like to feel the grass between my toes and the garden barefoot. This would be a VERY BAD idea if you are using this tool. This suction cup is razor sharp and will cut through any weed root you bring it to. It cuts just below the surface of the dirt, making picking up a cut weed head easier. I love it, and my other favorite Revain tool, the Dramm 18026 compact stainless steel shears, cut almost any weed…
