Description of JDMSPEED Left Intake Manifold Adjusting Unit DISA Valve Replacement | BMW 135i 328i 530i 528i X5 Z4

Part number: 11617579114, 11617522929, 11617560537. Adjusting Unit Intake Manifold (Disa Valve) Replacement For BMW E90 E91 E92 E93 E82 E60 X3 X5 F10 F25. This adjusting unit fits cars with N52 or N51 engine - not N52N models. This is usually the culprit of DISA noise. Located next to the intake manifold. The DISA Valve adjusts the intake manifold runner length to improve performance. When it fails it can lead to a rough idle and perhaps a engine fault code light.

The quality of the part on the intake manifolds and parts

Perfect fit, fast shipping, a little apprehensive about buying BMW parts from Revain but I took a chance and have no complaints and I was impressed with the quality of the part. And I know it's hard work. Since I did the stage 3 intake with the Turnermotorsports tune,

Pros
  • is absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • confused

The product is still good

Delivered quickly. I installed it on my E70. It fits well and solves my DISA valve problem right away. It appears to be of good quality and in fact identical to my original part. The car has 126,000 miles on it and drives like it did when I bought it brand new. Let's see if the new valve lasts as long as the original. Time will tell, but so far I'm happy with my purchase decision. Saves a lot of $ too!

Pros
  • Everything is fine so far
Cons
  • Approximately

Don't buy this! for engine parts

Purchased in April 2019 for my 2010 328 (N51) coupe. It failed in less than two years. When I replaced it today all the sealing material was gone and the gears inside the valve were broken so the valve would not open or close and would rattle under acceleration. This doesn't save you any money in the long run. My replacement costs about $130 from FCP Euros and it comes with a lifetime warranty. I hope for better quality.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Some difficulties

What else do you need to know? Save your money, install this DISA dampener and for 60 days these fun little imperfections will light up your dash like a Friday night carnival. As for me, I went back to the OE replacement. getting a little older and trying to spend less time under the hood and more time behind the wheel. And while it sounds a little crazy, I tend to prefer new parts that can last past the 2 month mark.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Negative impression

Installed in my E83 BMW X3. I immediately got error codes that he wasn't responding. Never worked properly or communicated with the ECM. I removed the component to inspect and found that all of the seals were damaged and melted in less than 60 days. I compared it to the original which has 140,000 miles and the original is in much better condition. Instead, the original part is retained and replaced. See photo. This product is right after only 2 months.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Clarity

Reliable unit but requires quality control to work

I really liked this unit until I tested it. The device is well made, but the polarity on the plug was reversed. close with the open command. After buying a second one with the same problem I have no choice but to give this product 1 star. My advice to the manufacturer: download the free BMW software "IMPA" and test your parts before you sell them. The subject basically does the opposite of the command, no wonder so many people get frugal codes.

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Appearance

I thought I would save a few bucks. I thought wrong.

Yes it's a lot cheaper than an OEM part or buying a rebuild kit BUT don't waste your money. Less than a month after installation, the plastic valve flange broke in half sending 2 pieces of plastic and a metal pin down the manifold. If I hadn't noticed this in time, it could have seriously damaged the engine. So instead of buying a more expensive, similarly constructed part from BMW, I paid about $95 for a metal flange rebuild kit and rebuilt my part. Well THAT was worth the dollars and time…

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Non Automatic
