Good price for cages

So I waited a while to give my review because I wanted to test this cage first. Now I don't have rats, I have ferrets, and I bought this cage for our upcoming move, the road will take 1.5 days, and their cage doesn't fit in the car. Firstly this cage is actually a good size and I love how it has a top level. I put my ferrets in there for 2 days to see if they could escape there or chew (the white one doesn't chew and the other a little). They seem very happy in their cage and I haven't noticed…

Perfect as a second cage for my rats

I bought this cage as an extra cage for my four female rats while cleaning their large cage. (Twin Critter Nation) I thought it would be nice to use as a hospital cell if I ever need one if one of my girls gets sick and needs to be quarantined. This cage is ideal for female rats as it has 1/2 inch bar spacing. I didn't use the ramp as it seemed to take up too much space and my girls climbed onto the shelf with no problem. The food bowl rack and holder are nice features as they give my girls a…

Not that bad. on cages

I bought this cage for two small rats. Please be careful and do NOT put baby rats in here. Mine could get out until about 3 months of age so I bought a makeshift cage (hamster/mouse size) until they were big enough to fit this one safely. This cage is a bit small and I wouldn't recommend keeping more than two rats in here. It can hold some toys, a hammock, etc. I wanted to buy a larger size because it's difficult to mount the wheel with everything else, but mine refuses to use the wheel. I run…

Not bad for the Syrians, still small.

Bought this for a Syrian hamster I will be buying next month and I have to say I'm impressed! It is very large compared to other hamster cages! I see it's a bit small for rats, but for hummi it's perfect! Setup was very easy, only took about 10 minutes. I struggled the most with getting the ramp. However, I think I'll remove the ramp and the extra level because they take up so much space! There's barely enough room for a balance bike, toys, food bowl (the bowl that comes with it is too big)…

Good enough for gerbils

I ordered two of these cages because one day my gerbils decided they didn't want to get along anymore. I originally had them in a large 3 platform rat house from Kaytee and they loved it and didn't gnaw through the plastic platforms like their first cage so I wanted something like that. This is exactly the same design, only shorter/smaller and with a platform. The base is great because it's so deep they don't throw away as much litter as they would in a hamster cage so they can dig to their…

Best Hamster Cage in Homes & Habitats Category

First off, this is NOT a rat cage, but it's good for two reasons: A. a hamster cage, or B. if you need to isolate the rat. (Believe me, I've had rats.) Rats first need a tall climbing cage and all the toys they need, in that cage you put a hammock and a toy or two and it's full and there's no room for two rats, around really run and play. . Rats MUST be so sociable that a rat can only be if it really can't get along with any rats. Even then, you'll need plenty of toys to make up for it. If it…
