Skip. They are not copper and the brass plating can almost be rubbed off. These things are paper thin. I'm not sure they'll hold anything together.

As a beginner it took me a long time to learn the tool to install these connectors and even now I have my doubts. work excellently and professionally. I like to use them instead of butt connectors for two reasons: - they are much smaller and - you can connect more than two wires in one application (e.g. if you want to make a Y-connection). I highly recommend these connectors.

These crimps seem to work but I always have trouble crimping them properly - I'm not sure if this is a problem with the crimping machines I have or because the crimps are an unusual size/ have shape. Regardless, once I crimped them properly they work very well and look OEM!

Must connect 16 gauge wire to 10 gauge wire to add flywheel diodes to fan motor. Uses the largest joint in this set. It is listed as up to 6mm2, which is approximately 10 calibers and 16 calibers combined. Crimped with Iwiss 5100A using the smallest die. In this test crimp it was perfectly crimped and the reason for the failure was a small wire break, no crimp.

Thin brass pieces that can be used to splice regular wire and then solder. I have a hard time finding good enough crimp connectors that won't oxidize, lose, etc without solder, so I always rely on soldering with a crimp myself. That means never relying on plastic and cutting it off when needed, then shrinking the end result with adhesive-backed heat shrink tubing.
