second sentence I love it. Sharp no matter what I do with it.

I like these knives. I bought a few of these at my local Asian grocery store and they are still sharp and easy to use and clean. I use it to chop vegetables and fruit. Never had any problems with rust or discoloration. Then the blade, but strong.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

The most secret cheap knives

I've been using kiwi knives for over 30 years. Also use Henkel, Wรผsthof, Shun and other fashion brands. Truth be told, these inexpensive kiwifruit are perfect for slicing fruit and veg into thin slices. My choice when I need a reliably sharp knife for thin slices. The steel holds its edge very well.

Pros
  • So far everything seems to be
Cons
  • I don't remember

Easy to sharpen: cutlery and knife accessories

Don't be fooled by the low price. These are great knives, especially if you enjoy cutting food, but they can do it all. I even use them instead of a paring knife. When friends come over and say how much they like them, I'm happy to give them extra sets. I can't cook anywhere unless I bring knives.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Compatible

Phenomenal price!

I have three and use them every day. They're not very good for heavy slicing (chicken slicing etc) but great for general slicing and veg/bread slicing. You probably shouldn't throw them in the dishwasher, but I do after every use. I have a $15 sharpening stone that I use before each use and they continue to hold a very sharp edge.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Slices thin and requires little maintenance

These are my favorite knives. They're the perfect thickness to make the thin slices I like. My friend has very expensive knives and I don't like using them because they are so thick and I can't get the cuts I want. I also like that they are not so expensive that I don't have to worry about the knives. I like low maintenance and these are the perfect low maintenance knives for me.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Good but not great

Best Chef Knives

Don't let the low price fool you, they are amazing. I still have the first one I bought 25 years ago. They're the perfect size and shape to maneuver on a Japanese whetstone, and they sharpen quickly with a hand sharpener too. Mine has been in the dishwasher thousands of times and the wood is still in good condition.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Some Problems

Cutting knives with the best value for money.

I have been using knives every day for 33 years and these Kiwi knives I recently bought are as good as the best I have ever used at an exceptionally low price. The blades are thinner than most kitchen knives and are particularly good for soft to medium-hard vegetables and fruit and are also great for slicing meat and fish. If you can maintain a sharp edge, they're great on medium to hard loaves of bread and awful on thin slices of tomato and cabbage. A thinner blade cuts through most foods more

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • No Insurance

Much better than expected for the price.

I wanted to try Nakiri but didn't want to spend over $70 for a "good" Japanese knife or over $40 for something made in China, so I took a chance on this set for 2 reasons: 1) cheap and good review 2) me wanted to buy something I could beat to learn how to sharpen knives. For the price of 2 knives, if I say I wasn't expecting much despite the reviews, I really wasn't expecting much. I'm more than pleasantly surprised, of course it's stainless steel and not crazy German stainless steel, but itโ€ฆ
