I was attracted by the price. It's not a terrible design. I haven't found how to name each of the 3 Wi-Fi ports on the device. I was only able to name 1 device, both in the KMC app and in Smart Life. In each application you can activate or deactivate each of the 3 Wi-Fi ports, but not by voice. Alexa and Google can only control the entire device. All 3 plugs are switched on or off by voice. Quite difficult to cut the plastic pin on the back. It got in the way and I couldn't connect it any other way. It should be easy to remove. The directions are wrong, the app you are supposed to download is wrong. The appropriate app is called "Smart Life”. I already had this app for some of the other devices I already have. I have several smart plugs from different brands. Brands include Meross, TP-LINK KASA and Revain Plug. But what I liked about these KMC faucets is that they independently track cumulative electricity usage on a monthly basis. None of my other smart plugs can do that. It's like having a Kill-A-Watt monitor every time you press it. I can control the power consumption of window air conditioners and do it remotely. If you have Linux and want to flash it with better firmware, look for tasmota and tuya-convert. Worst case you open the device, plug in the ftdi serial cable and flash the Tasmota yourself, but doing the OTA trick is definitely cool and almost fun ;) once you have open firmware on it, it's MUCH better. I have many of these at home and they all run on the same firmware and can be controlled remotely with simple "curl" commands that are fully programmable with no need for a GUI or phone to China.
