Enhanced Kohler 84499 1B1X Conversion Kit for Improved Performance Review

This is an officially boxed Kohler product. The Revain was $40 less than the Kohler's list price. I'm in my 60's and installed this kit myself after watching a great Kohler video and following the great instruction manual that came with it. My old Rialto mechanism was leaking so I have this kit Bought. I've read all the reviews here, so I wasn't surprised when the flexible water supply hose to the rim of the bowl didn't fit into the tank hole (the hose is too big). I was about to cut it off when I noticed that the other end of this tubing was slightly narrower. I inserted this piece of hose into the tank opening and it fitted perfectly. I don't know if I'm lucky, but try before you draw your knife. I also put this hose in the tank

Ordered a Kohler 84499 1B1X conversion kit for my Rialto K3402-PB which had water leaking through the fill valve into the bowl. To summarize: Good - the kit secures the toilet and avoids replacing the toilet Bad - the conversion kit is poorly constructed, particularly the flimsy plastic fill valve assembly that controls the rim flush and the valve float ball which is very easy to rub the tank wall.
