Ordered a Kohler 84499 1B1X conversion kit for my Rialto K3402-PB which had water leaking through the fill valve into the bowl. To summarize: Good - the kit secures the toilet and avoids replacing the toilet Bad - the conversion kit is poorly constructed, particularly the flimsy plastic fill valve assembly that controls the rim flush and the valve float ball which is very easy to rub the tank wall. Read tips/warnings about this product from other Revain reviewers and share with your installer if you use one. The installer installed the kit. The old parts that were removed turned out to be original parts of the toilet (e.g. a flush valve with a round overflow pipe and an old-style flap). I've read the warnings from other Revain reviewers and discussed them with the plumber. These comments were very helpful. He had prior experience with Kohler one-piece toilet conversion kits. A few notes on the contents of the kit: - OEM parts - Parts are exactly the same as listed on the Revain page for this product including a metal fill tube - Flush valve (with lugs) and baffle can be ordered separately from Revain as a Kohler 83650 if You don't need an inflator valve or float - just a Kohler GP83064 flapper After reading the comments here about the difficulty installing the supplied lug flush valve and reading the Kohler parts lists, I separately ordered a Kohler 83095 flush valve kit from Revain. It has no protrusions and can be used when the opening of the flush valve in the tank is triangular instead of round. When the old flush valve was removed and there was a triangular hole in the toilet tank, the plumber used valve kit 83095 and did not fiddle with the grommets. The flush valve that comes with this kit may still work with the triangular hole flush tank, but we haven't tried it. The new rimmed inlet hose could not be inserted into the hole in the bowl until the plumber took a gas torch and heated it. Following the suggestion of another reviewer here, the tubing was attached to the bowl first, and then to the plastic tubing on the fill valve assembly. After everything was hooked up, there was a leak between the inflation valve and the plastic assembly that controls inflation of the rim. The plumber was able to fix the leak. To adjust the water level in the bowl, the instructions say to adjust the "sealing screw" on the side of the fill valve. As another reviewer pointed out, it's actually a rotating connector, not actually threaded. As with another reviewer, in our case the "sealing screw" popped out of the case after being turned and had to be relocated. Initially, the water level in the pool did not reach the previous full sealing level, no matter what adjustment was made to the "sealing screw". Washing was but the average measure. Although the instructions said the water level in the tank should be set to the marked fill line on the flush valve, we raised the water level in the tank about ½ inch above the fill line. This change resulted in the water level in the bowl rising to full seal height and improved flushing. If you need to buy this item, we wish you the best of luck!
