We have three paint boxes at home which are original when our house was built in 1988 and they all look great, but for a number of years we've been chasing a bowl leak from dampers in all three bathrooms. We tried various brands including Fluidmaster kits and within a year they were still leaking. We decided to see if Kohler had any modern kits that would fit our old dressers, including a three-bolt rubber gasket between the tank and the toilet. bowl and I found them here on Revane. We don't…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not sure

Who would have thought that making a toilet like new would only cost $20 and a little effort! This kit was just what was needed to stop the extremely slow leak into the bowl that caused the tank to refill randomly when the water level eventually got low enough. You can easily tell how worn the gasket is by looking inside the tank (if you see that it's worn, you probably need to replace it). I used this whole kit as is so all parts would be new. Even the waterline is no longer a sticker that…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

A big improvement over the old GP85160 flushing ball set

Water ran into the bowl. Replacing or thoroughly cleaning the damper usually improves the situation. In my case I turned off the water source and flushed the toilet to empty the tank to the top of the flush assembly. The flush ball has been removed to ensure the water is below the top of the flush ball assembly. Then I left for a few hours and when I came back the tank was completely empty. This suggested the need to replace the entire purge ball assembly (or maybe just tighten the three…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

Take your time, watch the video, use genuine Kohler parts

We have a 9 year old Kohler K-4620 two-piece toilet. The first thing you need to do is find the tank back panel number so Kohler can identify specific parts. Our toilet worked intermittently, and at first we thought of just replacing the muffler, but when I got into the tank, the plastic parts of the flush valve fell apart about an inch from the bottom, so we decided to replace all the internals with original Kohler ones . Flush valve kit and slide part number 85406 and GP fill valve 1138930…

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Nothing here
