I had an older Kohler brass valve that stopped working properly. (see photo) Kohler's support site states "Early Pressure Compensating Valve (no specific model number)" and has the following characteristics: - Solid brass faucet cap and valve body. - The faucet cover has 2 screws that attach it to the valve body. - Round slotted brass rod rotates clockwise to turn on. - It is sometimes referred to as "old 304 valve". I wasn't in the mood to do it myself but after I finally called the plumber he skinned me and left with a shower leak, I thought I should find out. These parts will work with any Kohler diverter purchased in the last 20 years or so (don't know for sure). If you have a leak, you most likely just need new washers.
