I am not happy with the scratches on my new sink. Just installing a drain left the sink scratched. Very disappointing. In addition, the shells are slightly stained. To make it shine. They should be cleaned with a mild dishwashing detergent, dried, then treated with a stainless steel cleaner and then polished with a special cloth. Very labor intensive! I have never had a sink that required such daily maintenance. It was an expensive purchase, so I expected better.

This sink is beautiful but scratches very easily. I was careful when I first used it, but there were still scratches on it. I now use shelves all the time. I have a 50/50 double wash. Each sink is large and very deep, so it holds a lot of water. Less water splashes onto the countertop than my old flat sink. It's easy to clean. I wouldn't use anything abrasive. The countertop/sink installers also commented on how beautiful it is.

This is a beautiful and functional sink. However, it needs to be heavily pumped (sprayed with water and sent down the drain) to get into the sewers. Neither water nor dirt flow naturally and drain easily. I've found that cleaning this sink takes a lot more effort if you skip it on a regular basis. In addition, it scratches every day, even when using a non-abrasive sponge. I like the way it looks, the depth and spaciousness, but the maintenance and drainage aren't the best.

Received this sink today and am very impressed. The packaging was excellent and the sink was well protected with foam. The sink is also wrapped in a woven fabric for added protection. I took it out of the box and was blown away by the quality of the materials and workmanship. I think this product is homemade and definitely worth the money. We've had this sink for about a year and it's great. It replaced a 6-7 inch deep construction sink. A significant increase in volume of the sink is great! Easy washing of large items. We went back and forth between a bathroom, a 50/50 split and a 60/40 split. We're glad we went with the 50/50 split. I fought the urge to add more cushioning material.
