Type of review

I have a Kreg HD mount and a smaller Kreg mount kit. This kit is only for bigger holes/bolts than the other kit. These kits are real useful for making all kinds of projects.I bought this to make a 4x4 dining table for my sister in law and she loves the result.The other set came in a nice case but this one wasn't which was a little disappointing I like to keep everything together so I don't have to search for a bit, hex wrench etc. With this thing you just need to insert the smaller blue piece…

Solid construction for 2x4

I used the smaller Kreg Pocket Hole R3 system to assemble furniture and a garage workbench. Although the R3 works great, I bought a Kreg Pocket Hole HD for my second workbench in the garage. It was built from 2x4 and plywood. Larger bolts create a much stronger connection than smaller bolts. I recommend this system for 2x4 buildings. Ideal for 2x material, built in raised planters. Longevity is questionable.

***Update*** I contacted Kreg Customer Service and they reassured me that the drill bit was defective and shouldn't wear out anytime soon. They send me a spare bit and driver. I've increased my rating to 5 stars for a quality product and great customer service. While drilling blind holes can be time consuming vs just bridging the joint and using glue/screws, it's definitely worth it for a clean look.
