I needed a special leash for training puppies. (6ft leather) I chose tan, it's gorgeous and I think it will last us a lifetime. A very good quality.

We really like this leash! We wanted something nice and leathery to match her beautiful new leather collar and it's perfect. It's soft to the touch and feels very durable (she didn't chew it). We get a lot of compliments for that! It's such a beautiful golden yellow (almost yellow-orange).

This leash seems to be well made. It was quite soft and pliable on arrival but I took the advice of others and applied some leather conditioner before first use. The treatment has softened the skin a little. My 50kg puppy loves the leash too, it has already become his favorite chew toy!

I had to buy another one. My dog is 120 pounds and we walk 6 miles a day. I had an old leash 27 years old. The dry weather that year dried it out completely and it cracked. I was hoping this leash would be comparable but I don't feel safe walking my dog on it. It's too thin and has bad spots right where the braided part is. This leash is not for an active large dog.

Love this leash! The color is perfect, it's soft and stretchy enough to wear every day. The only thing I didn't really think about before purchasing this product is how long the six feet actually are, but that's my downside. Luckily the leather is quite light and flexible so it's not a big deal to roll up the excess when I need my dog to follow or stay close.

I have rarely seen a leash of this quality. Because I use mine every day with a large strong dog that walks on a leash (but you can never be too careful with squirrels). I found one like this many years ago and wanted a replacement but never found one until now. The skin isn't broken yet, but the cut is smooth enough to make the break-in period short and painless. Once the oils from my hands soak into the skin, it will be as soft as my original.

We bought this leash not knowing it was dyed as the product description was unclear. I don't think it's bad for a dyed leather leash in general, but you can tell the color doesn't last long. We sent it back because we were worried the paint would crack and we didn't like the feel. Also, the leash was very stiff and uncomfortable. Since we sent it back shortly after opening it, all I can say is how we treated it in brand new condition. I think it's possible that with more frequent use the leash…
