I bought this set 4 years ago and have always been disappointed that it can hold anything that wasn't a thick cast iron worktop. I needed more holding power so I started looking and found my kit was 95 instead of 150. Not sure if they come like this now and I just bought an older model so I'm just warning everyone that they have confirmed what they received. Don't make the same stupid mistake I did. The Mag 95 is 30mm in diameter and the 150 is 40mm and appears to be significantly more massive.

After a year of deliberation I finally bought this starter kit. I wish I had done this earlier. I've been using homemade boards for a number of years which worked fine but were difficult to attach to the top of the saw. My new saw has a steel plate - the magnetic switch fits perfectly. The plastic pad is flexible and slides very easily for perfect pressure on the workpiece. I received the starter kit and immediately used it on my table saw, router table and planer. I would also use it on my bandsaw if it wasn't for the aluminum table. It's incredibly flexible in how you can use it. As I said to a colleague who grimaced a little at the price, how much are your fingers worth? In addition to keeping your hands off the sharp blades, it even keeps the pressure on wood against guard rails, something you can never do by hand. I plan to buy another soon to install one…

This is a truly amazing product. It will not let go of your (iron/steel) worktop once installed (I've found this even over an angled slot). When I first used it, I ripped multiple strips of the same width, which required moving additional sets of foam boards after each cut - it was quick and easy to move. Minus one star for the lack of *good* instructions, particularly as mentioned in other reviews for the extra sets. I was definitely more comfortable with it and could have put more emphasis on

Very smart and really works. The magnets can be used on your own jigs, but some sort of quarter turn quick release circuit needs to be added to quickly pull out the magnets to use in another jig. Unscrewing them is not convenient. Of course they could sell more magnets that way. You also need to give the magnets a high friction surface as they tend to slide sideways a bit when locked. I use this on my heavy duty cast iron table saw. I have worked with wood for over 40 years and have used many different types of featherboards and there is no doubt that this is the best design. Installs in a snap without much effort to adjust position and it holds its position like iron. It's all thanks to smart, positionable magnetic clasps that turn on and off with the push of a button. Magnetic switches are great. This thing made it easier to cut thin sheet metal and work to the limit, which I otherwise wouldn't have attempted. The possibility of positioning the perforated board directly on the tree and changing its position quickly and easily made precision work considerably easier. So why not five stars?
