I've had no problems with them

Worked well for slicing I'm not sure how long or how much edge you can get out of the disc or when you should replace it, but when I was done I had three . They could also still be used if you wanted to. I put a new one in right at the start of the day as they were cheap.

Better than more expensive options.

These are the best grinding wheels I have ever used. They cut through metal faster and don't wear out as quickly as most. In addition, they are very inexpensive. I don't think you can find a better price there. Slim, fast and durable. I highly recommend.

Pros
  • Freehand
Cons
  • Modern

The package did the job -

It's ok if you strip or cut metal. I had to cut some tacky metal decorations off the deck. But eventually it wears out to the point where you need to replace it with a new drive. Put on face glasses, a hat, and something to cover your arms and legs. Sparks fly from everywhere.

Not Very Good - Blades

I have tried all five of my Mikita grinding wheels, although if the workmanship was good I should not have done so on my particular project. These wheels basically fell apart during use as they are not worth the shit. I won't buy this again. I was able to complete my project but I'm definitely not happy with these wheels. I was hoping they would be of high quality under the Mikita brand and I was wrong.

  • Consistent Test Results

Powerful - cuts metal like cheese!

These blades do the job! I had to cut some .65 (316) stainless steel tubing which is not too thick but very strong. I considered buying an expensive manual pipe cutter that was recommended to me for the job, but decided to give my little grinder a try. Voila! It was very easy to get a quick and accurate cut. He cuts them like cheese. I think you could literally carve almost anything. I've used over 20 pieces of metal and I'm still going through blade #1.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not bad

Attention: Grinding wheels and discs

These cutting discs are not the cheapest on the market. BUT this is not the kind of thing you should buy based on price alone. A thin, solid object rotating at high speed should not be taken lightly. My research has shown that Makita blades have a decent safety record and my past use of this blade has confirmed this. I cut several thicknesses and even had a little recoil (my fault - turned the blade) with no issues. I'm still on the first blade after a dozen cuts and it's still ready to go…

Pros
  • Everything in order!
Cons
  • Low repairability

Very pleased - Nice thin line

I needed to replace the fuel pump on my 2000 Chevy 4x4 Silverado 3 door. I refuse to remove the fuel tank and I refuse to remove the bed to do this job! So I measured where the pump is under the bed of the truck. I cut a 12" x 12" hole above it with perfect access to everything. (Trying to saw was a nightmare) These cut-off wheels are perfect for this and will cut through 4" x 17" metal bars with no problem to reassemble the panel I cut out. Used 24 Phillips head screws. (smoother tips) Then…
