Great Blades BUT Overpriced

These are the best blades I've found for my Makita cordless saws, but they're not quite $21+. You either need to sell them in bulk for significantly less, or just lower the price. I won't buy again until the price drops.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Safety

If it works that well and lasts that long

Haven't used this blade yet. So I don't know if it will last as long as my old Makita carbide blade. But my old Makita is building a 28 by 34 garage, there are 2 basements on the patio. And it still works, just like the saw I've been using for 30 years.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Unsure

Very clean cut! - Blades

I bought this blade to get a clean cut when cutting plywood and I have had excellent results compared to the factory standard 24 tooth blade. This blade leaves a cutting edge of the glue. The feed rate is a bit slower, but that's to be expected. The factory blade left chips on the plywood. This blade has not. I am very happy with this knife and would recommend it.

resurrection.

Buried in the rain in an old farmer's crate going to the rubbish collection tomorrow. There I found an old PC 18V 6 1/2" circular saw. I took it home disassembled and fixed it with a new battery and this blade. Cuts 2x4 like butter. A very good blade goes a long way in keeping that old saw out of the landfill. I recommend!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Only available in black

24 is probably the best place for a utility knife in 6

On a 6.5 inch blade it's almost too smooth. (Unless you're an interior decorator.) 40 provides a smooth cut and finish. Takes a little longer than my standard 16 tooth disc. 24 is probably the best place for a 6.5 inch blade. If not doing interior cabinet work again then go for 40. Great product as is everything Makita has. Image standard 16 teeth vs. 40 teeth

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Good quality combo set, reasonable price.

Great set, no thrills, workhorse in the saws. Specially for a 16 tooth blade. I've been using Diablo 24 tooth for a long time. I was making a wooden frame out of fresh wood and needed something with deeper gulps so I gave it a try. It works well. As with any blade, you should not overheat it. Let them cool or you'll end up with a chic extension that may or may not affect straight long cuts.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Volume

The best blades are made.

I have been using Makita tools since the first Makita tool offering was in the early to mid 80's. We once had a project where the site manager and his steel frame screwed up and forgot to account for pouring 1.5" lightweight concrete. Bad decision by the contractor from a professional standpoint, but the only inexpensive way around this is to cut off the bottom of the 80" Stanley Steel doors. Cut 156 doors with a Makita blade and still use it to cut wood. then it was 1985.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

This blade is also a fine cut blade

The blade that comes with most new 18V saws has what Makita calls an ultra fine cut blade, model A-85092. This helps the batteries last longer by removing the thinner strip of wood. The replacement A-85092 is much more expensive than this T-01404, so I ordered the cheaper one. When it arrived I measured the width of both blades with a cheap micrometer. The used A-85092 blade was 4.5 hundredths of an inch, and the new T-01404 blade (with some sort of thick protective clear coat) was 5 hundredths

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Upgradeable
