Postpartum Must Have

Another great product from Frida Mom. The pad is absorbent and does its job well. As for comfort, it's as comfortable as it can be as a large pad with an ice pack attached. The ice pack really helps relieve the swelling and pain. TIP: My nurse advised to use cold therapy for the first two days post partum, so make sure you pack this in your hospital bag else it won't be as useful when you get home! I also liked the Frida Mom peribottle. The hospital should provide you with witch hazel pads…

Pros
  • Couldn’t live without them!!
Cons
  • May not absorb as much as advertised

Short lived cooling relief

The initial cooling relief was great but short lived. Good for on the go but if you’re home just make paddocked and put in freezer the cooling relief lasts longer

Pros
  • Ideal for hospital stays
Cons
  • May not be ideal for those with sensitive pelvic areas

Heavy but comforting

These pads felt great during my recovery. I had a natural birth & small tear w/ a few stitches. Not the worst delivery ever but as a 1st time mom I had no idea how long & difficult recovery could be. The cooling relief & length of these pads was a nice combo. They definitely made bathroom trips much faster cutting out a layering step. The only complaint I have is that they are very heavy so I only used them when sitting. Because of their weight I can not say how effective the absorbency is. I…

Pros
  • Excellent customer service
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer natural or organic products

Great product- just make sure you don’t get an old

The product itself is great. I just received a box that was clearly quite old and so it didn’t have the same effect. I initially was down on the product, but I went and bought a box from a local store and it was night and day difference. So now I’m a huge believer of the product itself, just make sure when you get your box to ensure the ingredients for the cooling aren’t clumped together or stiff. If should move pretty freely.

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with urinary incontinence

There are better options.

These didn’t get as cold at the ones the hospital provided. You can buy the midline ones for cheaper and they stay colder longer.

Pros
  • -super soothing to the area- comfortable-helps with swelling- trust me you need it!
Cons
  • May not provide enough coverage at the back

Minimal absorption best in my review

Don’t recommend using this as a pad, even after a few days postpartum and not bleeding as heavy, still leaked in around 30 min or so. Recommend pairing with the adult diapers, no leaks and excellent absorption pairing!

Pros
  • Recommend 10/10 for natural or c section mamas! Comfortable and super absorbent!
Cons
  • Very thin and bad adhesive

BEST POST PARTUM SAVIOUR!

I don’t think I could have got through the postpartum pain without these pads. DON’T THINK TWICE about buying them. I had bought 2, at first and I ended up buying 4 boxes from them because that’s the amount of relief I got from it. Buy!

Pros
  • Secure fit
Cons
  • May not be ideal for those with mobility issues

YOU NEED IT! in my review

For the sake of full transparency and an honest review, I will admit that I have not actually had my baby yet. Instead I decided to give these things a test run on a night in which.”other activities” with hubby left me feeling sore. No judgment folks, we all know pregnancy can cause extra sensitivity! LolAnyways I can’t speak to these pads’ absorbency for obvious reasons, but O.M.G. I wish I’d had these after my first birth! I was stuck sitting on bags of peas after a 3 day hospital stay in…

Pros
  • I basically lived in these for weeks after I had my son. Much better than the ones from the hospital!
Cons
  • May not stick well to underwear

BEYOND a necessity post partum

I received the entire frida mom recovery kit and everything in it was a life saver but these. these go to heaven. Period. They are everything and worth every penny.

Pros
  • Contours to the body shape
Cons
  • Can cause discomfort when worn while sitting for extended periods of time

Great for vaginal birth!

I bought these in 2021 and they worked so well I bought the whole fridababy postpartum kit that included them in 2022 when I was giving birth again!

Pros
  • Provides peace of mind
Cons
  • May require frequent changes during the day or night

Postpartum must have

I love all the features of this! They’re very absorbing, thick, and long enough to catch everything. The extra sides help keep everything in. Even my midwife was impressed when she saw them and said she’d be recommending them to her other clients. I already bought more for back up!

Pros
  • No leakage
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find in stores

Perfect for postpartum relief

I ordered these while in the hospital when I realized how amazing the hospital version feels post-birth. These stay cold for at least 30 minutes, and definitely help ease the pain and uncomfortableness of the swollen lady bits. Only taking away 1 star because of the size - I have to waddle out of the bathroom because they are so large they push my legs apart, and they aren’t the most comfortable to sit on unless you lean way back or lay down. Still highly recommend them though. I bought a…

Pros
  • CASHMERE SOFT: Pillowy soft top layer for comfort + cushioning
Cons
  • Can be difficult to dispose of properly

Absorbent and cold! but bulky

These pads were very absorbent and super cold, which were important in the first few days of my postpartum journey. However, they are THICK, and therefore uncomfortable in the perineum area because they cause more pressure on the area due to the bulk. I wish they were thinner to feel more comfortable on my stitches, but they served their purpose for the first couple of days

Pros
  • Great for postpartum but I wish it lasted longer!!
Cons
  • Packaging could be improved for hygienic purposes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not horrible. in my review

They’re ok. They feel pretty good if standing but feels like you’re sitting on a balloon. The cold doesn’t last for very long either maybe not much more than a half hour.

Pros
  • I didn't end up using all, but did make postpartum recover easier
Cons
  • Can be bulky and difficult to wear with certain clothing

I Wouldn't Have Survived

These are a gift from heaven. They're bulky but my goodness was the cooling function so necessary. I put a witch hazel wipe over the pad so I can't really speak for the absorbency. I severely underestimated how many of these I would need post-surgery. I went through 2-3 a day for five straight days. I absolutely would not have made it through recovery if I had not had these. Having these helped me be able to leave the bed and sit/lay in another room and slowly move about the house to remain as…

Pros
  • No bunching or folding
Cons
  • May not be ideal for those with active lifestyles

Just like the free hospital ones

I got these when I ran out of the hospital pads because some reviews say they are less bulky and stay cold longer. I virtually can’t tell the difference except they are not free. The Lanisoh reusable ones do stay cold longer, way less bulky, and are reusable with a disposable liner so personally feel they are a much better value. If you want thick and absorbent with the ice pad just take home more hospital ones and save your $20.

Pros
  • Prevents odors
Cons
  • Can be awkward to wear with certain clothing materials

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Eh, they're okay good for me

These cooling pads are just okay? They weren't terrible but not really worth the price for them. They don't stay cold long and even the intensity of cold is fairly low. My body heats these puppy's up in under 15 minutes so they don't really last that long. I know your only supposed to ice for about 20 minutes but I dont even think these get to the level where you'd need to worry about that. Nice cool pad but not that great. Super hard to pop open to mix the ingredients to make them cold. Had to

Pros
  • Helps in the recovery process post-delivery
Cons
  • Can be a challenge to wear while using the restroom

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great relief! But starts to feel too moist.

These pads are a postpartum lifesaver. My only complaint is that as they defrost and warm up, it gets pretty wet. So as great as they are for cooling pain relief, they really aren’t great for absorbing additional liquids like blood. I bought other reusable ice packs that I personally prefer over these.

Pros
  • Can be used for light incontinence
Cons
  • May not provide enough protection for those with heavy postpartum bleeding

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does it’s job good for me

I am glad I ordered these in advance and packed at least one in my hospital bag. My postpartum nurses told me that they had completely run out of regular hospital ice pads and were not sure if and when more will arrive. They had to improvise with plastic ice packs wrapped in non woven gauze which felt very awkward and uncomfortable. I found these to be very soothing in the healing process. Definitely eased the swelling. Although not very absorbent for the first couple of days heavy bleeding but

Pros
  • Bought for my S.I.L post birth and she was very appreciative to have these.
Cons
  • Can be uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Loved them days 1-2, hated day 3

I loved these my first 2 days postpartum when I wore them in the Always Discrete diapers (a must-have!). They stay cold for 20 minutes and are absorbent enough to work as a pad. However, I tried using one and wearing it with regular postpartum underwear and omg they're so sharp and uncomfortable! I guess the diapers settle them in a way where the pads don't rub on your leg, but with regular underwear it was so painful I screamed.

Pros
  • Feminine Care
Cons
  • May not be effective for heavy or sudden leaks
