I actually use them to raise an octagonal game table, not a bed. We had to raise a table to replace the previous chairs, wanted something that wouldn't scratch the floor (I use it on vinyl records, not carpet) and offer stability. I like the wide square base.

I used these to raise the table in my laundry room an additional 3 inches so I can fit 2 bins underneath. My husband also has reflux so I used two more of these rivers and added an extra inch of non-slip squares to elevate our headboard. We sleep on a sloping bed, but that's not noticeable. It helps my husband not get reflux.
