To be honest I only received this item today and have not used it yet. BUT it was immediately apparent that in the form in which it was supplied it was going to be difficult to use. The surface running along the edge of what you are cutting had sharp ridges on either end left over from the shape it was created in. They are usually removed as part of quality control, but not in this case. If you use this when shipping, those sharp edges will snag on the edge you're sliding on. You need to at…

When I received this I was a bit disappointed; In the box it looked as flimsy as the instructions that came with my saw. But in use I was more impressed. It comes with a set of four guide rails (which attach the side rail to the saw. One fits my Dewalt circular saw and the other fits my Bosch jigsaw, so A-1 for convenience. I received these for cutting circles not knowing that it is geometrically incorrect for cutting small circles as the center of the rod would have to go through the cut to be geometrically correct its edge saw blade, which is obviously impossible. If you want to cut small circles with a jigsaw, you'll need a geometrically correct template, but it's so easy to shape that no one bothers to make it.
