I decided to use the black pearl metallic on an accent wall. I was actually worried it might be too extreme, but I had a vision of a sweet metallic black wall with a black, wall mounted tv, so I painted it with 2 coats of the black pearl. I got this paint twice. First, couple of years ago, I used it to paint the groves on some closet doors and a couple of drawer pulls. This time, I painted my black metal coffee and end table.When I painted the grooves on the doors, I bought an empty (new) lip gloss click pen and filled it with the paint for ease of application. It worked great on those groves. Still, it did take 3 thick coats and even 4 in some areas.For the end table, I did kilz primer first for adhesion then a million coats…

The color is nice, however it does not cover well. Need to apply many coats of paint to cover the area. It is an expensive product, therefore you would think you would not have that problem. Very easy to work with, but probably because it is a lot of water.? Not sure what the issue is, but I would not recommend unless you are painting something very small. It is however a nice color.

This is my favorite paint! One coat is enough, and it's thick enough that it's easy to use and not messy. It's so beautiful too!
