When the clearly opened packaging (completely crumpled) was opened the inside of the spout was disgustingly dirty and used looking. Very disappointed. Return and redemption at Target. I bought this bath filler because Moen made it cheaper by making some of their bath fillers out of plastic (they say it's a code now). I bought it to replace the plastic in my shower set. I didn't bother to find out if I could buy the shower set separately from the bath spout. Just know that the metal spout looks amazing.

It's easy to install and appears to be of a lot better quality than the spouts you can get at local hardware stores. With my water, I have found that chrome usually flakes off after a few years. This was installed in just a few weeks. Lets see what happens. Update: It's been a few years now and this spout still looks brand new! Much better than Danco spouts.

I've replaced the internal diverter on my Moen spout several times at almost the cost of the entire test unit and it never sealed properly. I bought this unit in hopes that it would solve the problems I was having when replacing the switch. Problem solved! It was easy to install and works like new. I will never replace a diverter again, but (if I ever have to) will buy this complete phase out kit again. Highly recommended.
