I've been using it since I started working from home. It's so great to be able to switch between work and play on the computer during breaks and lunch. Saves me a lot of desk space. I almost had to buy a new desk but I didn't want to fully commit myself to the ability to work from home and this product gave me a nicer alternative. The setup was pretty easy and changed most of the time.

The switch is exactly as described. There are three ways to switch between inputs. With a key combination, a wired remote control and a button directly on the switch. I use the remote to keep the switch out of sight. The fact that it uses an external power supply can help you with USB devices that draw a lot of power. have been using this for almost 8 months now. Reliability is questionable at best. The video connection to the laptop drops very often and the webcam often disconnects. When it's gone (often during a Zoom call, grr) I often still plug in my mouse and keyboard, but the high-speed video stuff goes away. I'm also getting intermittent video breaks/dropouts on my main computer. Shop for higher quality now as these issues are affecting my work and professional reputation while browsing the web.

Power cord missing, I tried several monitors and none of them worked with HDMI switch. I'm using both right now and they work great on either computer, but don't swap. This KVM switch does not work reliably with the specified resolutions. At 1440p@60, I noticed speckles in dark areas (indicating electronic noise) and occasional blackouts. Came back two days later.

I bought this unit to use an HDMI monitor with my laptop PC and Mac. It will not drive the monitor if a Mac is selected, although the same monitor works fine when connected directly or through our existing HDMI switch.
