This is NOT a pressure gate, the assembly instructions state that wall anchors must be used for installation. I chose not to follow the assembly instructions and installed it purely as a sealed gate (no wall anchors) for our dog and so far so good. The gate is heavy and looks well constructed. Unpacking at least 12-15 zip ties that needed to be cut and being careful not to damage the finish as you cut was a nightmare. Looks good after installation. This is a great gate (Muchkin Easy Close XL with extensions) but I have just spent 2 hours fitting an extension. The height difference between the extension and the gate is approximately 1/2 inch. I tried tapping the underside of the gate with a hammer to level it enough to attach the plastic extension adapter and even shaved off the plastic to make it work.
