Safety laces broke after a few days

Sizing and fit are New Balance, felt good on my rather narrow foot. I bought them for exercise (weightlifting) and for business in town. The third day I wear them, one of the laces that the laces are threaded through broke. It was annoying, but I was still able to lace up my boots. Then, after a few weeks, the adjacent spike protection broke. Now they are unbearable. Unfortunately I waited a few weeks after purchase to wear them, so I don't have a return window. Poor quality compared to what I…

  • New

  • Definitely bad product

The arch fits oddly. Fitness and cross training

I've been trying out several New Balance models (Versi V1, 577V4 cross trainer, 520V5 and 490 V6 shoes - last pair finally fits) since May. I wear a 10 1/2, the narrow side of medium due to the small temples. NB seems to have the full range in width, probably depending on where the shoe is made. Doesn't seem to be consistent across brands. Wearing an orthopedic insole simply made it impossible to feel the arch of the foot in the left boot. I think maybe the forefoot was a bit wide for me so…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Wait too long

Comfortable and very light

I ordered these as an all round athletic shoe (weightlifting, HIIT - everything except running which I have separate shoes for) and for that purpose they are very good although not flat enough for squats and deadlifts. The shoes are light, comfortable and cute. The insoles are quite comfortable but lack arch support which is fine for my feet but may not be suitable for those with higher arches. While they are comfortable when running, they don't offer as much support as my Brooks shoes, but…

Pros
  • While everyone likes it
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

love the fit: comfortable on the treadmill AND when strength training

I don't have the budget or patience to buy different shoes for different workouts - I use a versatile pair of shoes - and that's always been the way to go Order. They're amazing - they have just the amount of cushioning and support I need (I tend to pronate a bit if that helps - my heels wear more on the outside than the inside). The optics are beautiful and the price is right. I walk and run on a treadmill, straight and incline. I do lunges and other balance exercises that require good support

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Negative experience

Best thing I've tried

I'm looking for a new pair of shoes for HIIT, intervals, kickboxing. My previous shoes were Ryka. I bought Ryka Devotions XT and they were terrible. The soles collapsed after the first two sessions and dug into the sole of the foot. Then I tried New Balance Nergize. They were very small and had no shock absorption. I then tried the Reebok Nano X, which sort of rolled inward without even having them on my feet. Then I ordered her and Inov-8 260 at the same time. Only 1 was available in the Prime

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
