Description of NGK CR8EIX Iridium IX Spark Plug for Enhanced Performance - 1 Pack

Designed specifically for the performance enthusiast, Iridium IX offers extreme ignitability, improved throttle response and superior fouling. The 0.6mm laser welded fine Iridium tip ensures high durability and a consistently stable spark and the tapered ground electrode minimizes electrical quenching effect. Longer insulator nose avoids fouling, the corrugated ribs on insulator avoids flashover, and a triple gasket seal eliminates combustion gas leakage. Iridium alloy has extremely high melting point, giving it high durability to heat and electrical wear, perfect for today's high-performance engines. Trivalent metal plating has superior corrosion and seizing properties.

Spend extra money on Iridium!

Bought for my Suzuki. Others had some coal on them and didn't make the engine run any better. I went the better route and spent more on Iridium than regular copper simply because it's a motorcycle and hard to come by. Works great and performs well up to 12,000rpm!

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some nuances

Great Spark Plugs: Spark Plugs

Works on my 2000 SV650. I like these over the brass ones because I know they'll give me a little more time. Copper is best for performance, but changing the spark plugs on my bike requires removing the radiator and draining the coolant, which isn't much fun on a clean bike like mine. Works great, just like the originals before it. Distance up to 0.028

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Nothing shocking, they work

I bought these for my FJR-1300 when I needed to change the spark plug. They already came for the right release, which I don't know if they're promoting. I bought them to last longer. Others have indicated that they get better performance and different concepts, but I haven't felt or noticed any difference myself. Time will tell if the price difference was worth it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

NGK only the best for my quad

NGK is by far the best spark plug for your quad. I've tried other brands and none lasted more than a few rides before needing replacement. My quad only runs on 107 octane or better gas due to the high compression ratio, so I throw out spark plugs very quickly due to the extra heat generated by the combustion. NGK are the only spark plugs I've ever used that last over a month before needing replacement.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something different

Great for RE Himalayan

After making some modifications to my RE Himalayan I decided to go the Iridium route to ensure extra fuel burns out. I wouldn't recommend this on a standard engine, but by adding a fuel booster, higher flow filter and exhaust I wanted to make sure the spark matched the rest. I'd like to note that if you don't think this is suitable for the Himalayas, remember that the cap can be unscrewed to fit a smaller diameter connector that standard cables require.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Available in White Only

Expensive - is it worth it? May be!

I own three motorcycles. When it comes time to change the candles, I always pay extra and buy iridium candles. They're between $7-$10 each so aren't cheap, but I want my bike to perform perfectly and purr like a cat when I'm riding a short distance through the mountains or starting cross country. No hassle, no problem. My bike starts first time every time, runs smooth, has high mileage and no issues when I'm away from home. So are they worth the price difference? Since I drive about 20,000…

Pros
  • So far satisfied
