So far, so good. I have a few cameras and .

So far so good. I had a few cameras and gradually upgraded them as my skills improved. This is definitely not your grandfather's camera and not worth buying if this is your first DSLR. Even after mastering the D610, the D800 still requires some training, albeit a pleasant one. Extremely high resolution requires skill and patience, as well as mastering all the technical aspects of the camera, otherwise your pictures will look much worse than even from an iPhone. The workmanship is very solid and

I love this camera. but

Sensor attracts too much dust. My D200 has never been this bad with dust. Of course I change lenses quite often (6 of my 7 lenses are primes) but the sensor cleaner DOESN'T WORK AT ALL! It's completely useless, a feature that shouldn't be enabled if it doesn't work properly. I was very disappointed with this because it was one of the main features I was looking forward to. I like the 100% viewfinder and recommend buying the DK-19 eyecup. This helps in bright light conditions and also when you…

Great camera at an unbeatable price!

Bought used from Revain and couldn't be happier! Amazing savings on a new item. I did my homework and found that this device only had 35,000 shutter counts, which is about 17% of the expected standard. It arrived professionally packaged with no problems. The 36MP camera is 50% more than my d750 and the picture quality is extra like that of a landscape painter day and night! Yes, I took a step backwards by giving up the Wi-Fi capability, but the amazing picture quality more than makes up for…

Quality and professional features at a premium

I am a professional photographer and I was very excited to buy this camera! Initially, I was very impressed with the image quality, exceptional low-light performance, and pro-level feature set. Stunning ergonomics (typical of Nikon DSLRs) and full manual control - with live preview, aperture, shutter speed and exposure compensation in live view video. This is a GREAT camera for video lovers or professionals. Be aware that some reviews mention moirΓ© patterns that sometimes appear during video or

Great camera no. .

The capabilities and performance of the D800 are second to none in my opinion. Very very good camera. Very happy with the resolution. You can virtually crop to the smallest detail (in RAW format) without fear of losing detail. Keep two main points in mind: 1) If you're shooting in RAW format, get a large memory card. Some images exceeded 50MB for me. I took at least three 64GB cards with me when I traveled. On a recent two-week trip abroad, I skimmed three maps without even blinking. Arrived…

Fantastic upgrade for SLR cameras

I am writing this review as a former user of the d200, then the d300 and now the d800. I've been using the d800 with different lenses in different shooting conditions for several months now. I use the camera for professional work, including portraits and product photography, as well as for fun. Controls: I updated my d300 because I dropped it and the flash stopped working. The transition was relatively smooth, although I found I had to relearn and remap some of the controls. Still drawn to the…
