🦜 Niteangel Wooden Parrot Cage Perch Platform for Enhanced Bird Comfort and Cage Decor Review

I recently adopted two cockatiels and they love sleeping on this perch. They are still working on developing their little feet and legs so they can sit and climb properly, so I think the flat surface gives them a safe place to rest (it's not the bottom of the cage). I just ordered a second one to place a little higher on the other side of the cage. The pole itself is sturdy and very well made for the price!

My white Pionus has grown so I wanted to give him a platform to sit on. He loves it and has personalized it with his planing. The bark on the edge was cut off. Someone complained that the perch is shallow. Turn it over and it rounds up. For small birds, I slant it slightly to the rounded side so they can hold on to the edge. Because it is a soft wood, it makes a great chew toy. This lasts about six months of chewing on my medium sized parrot. Great parrot toy for the money.

I do not recommend this flat perch. Wood Material: Most birds will degrade it quickly as the wood is very soft. My cockatiel seems to like them but they are not sure. The screws don't sit properly in the wood, so it can't be tightened enough in the cage. Good product! Good size for the price and my little parrot loves to rest on it. I've noticed that most of the reviewers' photos are shown flat side up, but I flipped mine when I noticed my bird was sitting under this one to pick at the bark. I'm still new to bird keeping but from what I've read it seems that the bark side up gives the bird paws a more natural feel and may be better for paw health in general due to the wrong texture. .
