We tried normal baby spoons before buying, but it was difficult for the child to hold and put them to the mouth. It was wonderful. She has a lot more control over what she puts in her mouth. I highly recommend. They also have a thing to prevent middle choking. They are durable and very easy to care for!

We've recently started the weaning process and were researching some starter cookware when we came across this set. I have read all the great reviews and I want to tell you that you were wrong! Thanks to the larger handle and shape, our child can easily hold a fork and spoon, and they could actually use the fork at dinner! I would give them 10 out of 10 and would definitely recommend them.

It's great except the handle is too short for a spoon. When my daughter puts it in the bowl, she dips her hand into the food to pick it up. I also think a perforated spoon works better because it grips the food, while this spoon is very smooth and the food will slide off once she twists it to get the food to her mouth (which almost every bite is). The fork is great!

So they're like hard plastic, but I thought they were like hard rubber, so that's different. Even if I feed my daughter with a spoon, the anti-choke device prevents me from putting food in her mouth because of her nose! This is in the shape of a star, so if they turned the star to the side just a bit it would be way better! I still give 4 stars because it's a good product and I'm glad it's made in the USA!

These are. nice little instruments. I thought they would be in different proportions. so they just didn't work for us. The ends of the handles are very thick/short that my kid showed no interest in holding them at all. I initially had mixed reviews for the Nooli fork and spoon. My child is learning to eat on their own and at first I thought the spoon and fork are too small as some of the reviewers said, but then I realized that they really do fit my child's hand perfectly. Not recommended. They are well made, but I don't like their design. The prongs are too wide/thick to pierce bite-sized food, the handles are awkwardly shaped to hold, the child wants the handle in their mouth 100% of the time, and the gag guard is optional.
