Rather bite the bullet and spend money on a "real" dealer. They are short-lived and difficult to install, so you don't need to install them more than once.

This fixed my starting problems and has been working fine for a few months. Installed myself, no real experience. I have no idea how much it would cost a mechanic to look at and fix it, but I'm sure I saved a lot of money by purchasing this position sensor.

I bought this part because my old sensor o-rings were wearing out causing a small leak. The exchange took less than 5 minutes. This gauge comes with a great o-ring that prevents oil from leaking out. The article fits perfectly on my Altima 03! I'm writing this review after installing the part for 2 months.

I had to remove it and put the original back in. Fortunately, the crankshaft turned out to be my only faulty sensor. The first thing I did was swap out the crankshaft sensor as it arrived first. After that, my Altima 2006 worked better. When this arrived I thought I'd add it as it's newer but it ended up causing more problems.

The code indicates a problem with the camshaft position sensor. I ordered this product and was told on the Revain website that "this product will fit your vehicle". Approached, but after installation the car would not start. I cleaned the part that was removed and reinstalled it. The car started with no problems. Still not sure what's going on.

Amazingly easy installation in a 2005 Altima. I've never done this before and it didn't take more than 10 minutes. I wish I could do it myself the first time he got in trouble since they charged me over $100. I had to drive the car for several weeks and about 80-100 miles before the check engine light went out after the repair was completed. Most were off-road. I installed it on my 2006 Altima 3 months ago and it's perfect. Actually the part I replaced is the crankshaft position sensor but since they are identical I took a chance with that. It is sold by Revain and costs less than half the OEM price advertised by other vendors. That's why I like Revain. Installation is easy, but if you follow YouTube videos on how to do it, good luck. Note: you MUST use a small mirror or else you will be working in "darkness" - and no one mentions this small detail.
