This blade easily cuts non-ferrous metals.

I ordered a picture frame made of painted aluminum to match the other ones that were available. No wonder the frame came back the wrong size...everything was too big. I popped this blade into a table saw and cut beveled corners in painted aluminum without incident. The paint was not damaged in any way. The blade left smooth, clean cuts and required no polishing or grinding. An excellent disc for those who need to cut non-ferrous metals.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Little things

It cuts 1 inch pieces like soft butter

Bought for the aluminum T bars I use to make window frames. It cuts 1" parts like softened butter. Zero effort really! And the strips don't even get hot. Important note, for my saw the rotation is the opposite of what is expected so the lettering should face inwards towards the motor .On the first two cuts II the blade was pointing backwards and cutting through but it was more like grinding and the rod got very hot.One day I realized I was wrong and turned the blade over, wow!Ideal!

  • New

One of the best blades I've had in the last 30 years

One of the best blades I've had in the last 30 years. I bought this blade in May 2014, bolted it to a Dewalt 10" crosscut saw and started cutting 3x5 aluminum extrusions and some other types of aluminum. I've also used it to cut PVC, ABS, and softwood. Teeth and sides once a month or two. 3 1/2 years later and the same blade still bolts on and cuts like the day I bought it. Apart from all that pretty red color, of course. :)

A saw blade with 60 teeth is enough!

Same but with 80 or 100 teeth. Don't waste money. That's enough for any cuts made of aluminum and the same. Please wear safety goggles when using this or any other blade on your saw. However, do not use cheap glasses, use good ones AND USE CLOSED GLASSES as open glasses can cause metal splinters to ricochet off your face and eye area. I've seen friends kick themselves for not wearing proper protective gear and always remembered the day they had something stuck in their eyes, pure aluminum…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others

Cuts aluminum very well

I have to cut aluminum a lot, but I hate changing blades on my miter saw because it takes me 35 minutes to remove all guards before I'm 10 Waste seconds to change saw blades. Using the wrong blade on a 10" saw can be VERY dangerous and some metal blades will practically burn through wood. With this blade I cut aluminum perfectly as expected. I can also cut most other materials just as cleanly as other blades, just a little slower. I'd rather cut a piece of wood in two seconds than one second…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Working speed

Poor quality control

I was torn between Freud and Oschlun and decided on this blade after reading some positive reviews and deciding I needed more teeth. Unfortunately I have to give the lowest rating now. I received the item and it was well packaged thanks to Revain, but when I opened it I found the blade had glaring manufacturing defects. At some point during the manufacturing process they managed to grind down 8 teeth with the blade. I will in no way risk my project or my own safety by using this thing. A closer

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Price
