Good for the price Good for backpacks

I bought a medium size for my Jack Russell because it has a small chest and the harness part fits well. The bags are a bit big so they get stuck in between the overturned trucks she usually walks through. I had to balance the load perfectly or the bags would slide sideways. I liked the handle on top and it was secure enough that I could pick it up and get over things. It's easy to just undo the pockets at rest and put them back on with ease. The convenience of having food, a bowl and treats…

Good but not great.

I chose the medium size for my dog: 21 inches in circumference and 17 inches from neck to tail. The backpack has large pockets and is pretty easy to put on my dog. My complaint with this product is that the adjustment straps don't stay where you put them. They loosen up significantly, especially when the dog is wearing a backpack. I had to adjust the straps to size and then hand sew them to keep them that size. If your dog is carrying this it is important that the two bags are the same weight…

The only bad thing is that he was after the lizard.

This is a vest and detachable bag set. I put 2 water bottles on each side and still have enough space for groceries and stuff. Lots of internal and external components, the vest even has mesh pockets. Got a large one for my 55 lb dog. Fits well. We tried it on a walk, he doesn't mind. As a result, he actually pulls a lot less! I used my own collar. The only bad thing is that he followed the lizard into the bushes. Then the clip holding the 2 layers together came loose during the first walk! I…

Excellent dog backpack

I bought for my £95 lab mix. I like the ability to detach the pockets from the bottom layer which looks like a simple dog coat. Everything looks very well made. The coat itself can still be used to carry a small amount of stuff, while detachable backpacks hold quite a bit. The backpack takes a bit of getting used to for any dog, so I recommend buying one ahead of time if you want your dog to carry it so you can train them to carry it. Just walk them through the workout while they carry the pack

Great backpack for dogs

I have a service dog and because of my physical disability I can't carry things. Assistance dog packages are expensive so I grabbed this one to try. my patches fit both the closet pants and the pockets of the trapeze itself. Velcro needs to be added so I can carry something in those mesh pockets but I like it anyway. very important to not interfere with your dog's gait and for comfort on long days. I like the detachable part as my dog has a hard time getting into one of my vehicles with bags…

Great package for the money!

Nothing. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this backpack handled my £100 lab. I bought XL. We went camping for two nights. It took some time to get used to. I made sure to do a few laps around the area before we hit the track. We had to make sure that the pockets were the same on both sides, otherwise they would hang on one side. The amount of stuff you can put in this bag is ridiculous! there are so many places! There are also pockets on the outside of the pockets as well as on the…

Poor design - slides to one side.

I bought this in a large size so my 68lb Australian Shepherd can wear it on long walks and hikes. This backpack looks good and appears to be made of decent material. There are strips of reflective fabric, a nice large padded handle on the back and large zipped compartments with divided interiors. These are 2 pieces. One part is a halter that attaches to the dog's chest and under its front paws. The other part is a real backpack that slides over the handle and snaps onto the first part. Binding…

Walking Dog Billboard

I have tried but am not satisfied. The inscription on the package differs from the picture, "Outward Hound" is written in very large letters in two lines, both lines are the same size, it looks like a walking billboard. They are just white, nothing reflects on them. You can see it in some of the reviewer's photos. I wasn't sure if their picture or the product picture was the latest, I was hoping the product picture was correct (it wasn't). The quality seems reasonable for the price, I love that

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

A great way to share the load while hiking!

After reviewing all types of backpacks for my dog, I settled on this one. I recommend going up a size if your dog is skinny and mean or nearing the upper limit of backpack sizes on the size chart. Because every dog is different in size and shape, the fit of this backpack may vary for every dog. I have a Black Shepherd and as the size I received is large the straps were fully stretched at the time of purchase. It now fits perfectly and has room to extend the straps if needed as she has lost some

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
