Great car but the remote control was 'dead'

The unit I received was new except for the remote control. I have a very similar Panasonic product (DMR-E75V) which has served me well for many years of heavy use. Because of my satisfaction, I wanted the same VCR/DVD recorder for the family room. The remote had rust on one of the internal battery posts, suggesting that the AA batteries must have leaked or moisture got into the remote. It doesn't work at all so I have to use the old remote for both. Not all functions of this product can be used

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fantastic product! for TV & Video

This VCR/DVD player is easy to use - one-touch dubbing is the way to go! My main reason for buying it was to transfer the (100) VCRs I had recorded to DVD for long term quality. I postponed it because it seemed so overwhelming. But it's easy to use and I can't believe the quality of DVD video recorders as some (VCR tapes) are over 20 years old. Revain had the best price (.). I had to buy a new TV as I didn't have the required input/output jacks, but I was very happy with this product! Timerโ€ฆ

Panasonic has been the top brand for these devices

The device works well in both playback and recording modes so far. The lack of a remote or included manual prompted me to use my ingenuity and randomly use 2 remotes I had in my collection. It is not possible to switch between DVD and VCR remotely, but one remote controls the DVD and the other controls the VCR, ignoring any other operation. This wasn't easy to understand as the remote's markings didn't command operation and I had to 'fish' to get the device to do what I wanted. The manual isโ€ฆ

Disappointed with Revain DVD/VCR Combo

I bought a Panasonic DVD/VCR combo on behalf of my elderly parents who don't have a computer. They were very pleased to receive delivery fairly early in the expected delivery time frame. But they were never able to get the DVD burner part to work at all. They tried running the DVD on another recorder they have and it works fine so obviously it was a new machine they just got. You have returned it to the address given in the packaging information. It was a mailing address in Renton, WA 2 weeksโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Writes to DVD-RAM and DVD-R discs; also compatible with CD-R/RW with MP3 audio
Cons
  • Slightly dented

DVD burner defective

I have had a JVC/VHS combo DVD recorder for over 7 years. That was great. Now that it no longer recognizes discs and no one can fix it due to missing parts, I decided to try and buy this device hoping that it will allow me to copy recordings from my DVR. I've even bought a device that bypasses that annoying "Copyrighted" stop when trying to burn a DVD from a DVR. However, this unit didn't even play the DVD. It had the old-school look of a device made in the late '70s or early '80s (althoughโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Double deck for DVD and VHS recording; Dimensions 16.9 x 3.5 x 13.7 inches (W x H x D)

  • There are other interesting options.
