🔧 Permatex 59214 High Temperature Thread Sealant - 6ml Tube, Pack of 1 - White: Efficient Solution for Airtight Sealing Review

As the name suggests, I use this material everywhere. Wherever there is a fluid fitting, Permatex thread sealant goes there. It absolutely prevents any leakage, especially with coolant fittings, prevents corrosion and abrasion, saves threads and makes subsequent disassembly much easier. It doesn't heal instantly so you'll have to wait a bit before using it, but the end result is totally worth it. As far as I know this is a must have for any engine job.

I'm a DIY enthusiast so I only need items like thread sealant a few times a year. I have used this high temperature thread sealant successfully on oil pan drain bolts, rear differential bolts and Ford AWD drivetrain bolts. Say goodbye to Teflon tape! I stopped using teflon tape a few years ago after finding this. A small amount will do for you, so don't overdo it. With teflon tape, something stuck when tightening the connector, making it difficult to tell when something was tight enough. There are several similar thread pastes available from Loctite/Permatex (parent company of Henkel). These are 565, 567 and this 592. They all work very well with different cure times and bond strengths. 592 is the easiest to find.
