My 115lb Pyrenees are very happy with this purchase!

I tried ramps and other steps to allow my 5 year old big eater to get into the backseat of my 1500 Ram truck with a club cab backseat but he hated the ramp and wobbled on it. other steps. The Easy Step Xtra Wide is very easy to assemble, light weight, easy to toss in the back of a truck after use and is the perfect height. He doesn't wobble because he's wide and strong enough for his paws (especially his hind legs) to fit comfortably in the car. VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • A few little things

Ideal for larger build dogs

My Pitt/Ox Mix, Pig, short but 63 ponds of dense muscle mass. He was born with a bad back and my bed is very high off the ground so it's hard for pork to jump. I tried different types of dog ladders for him, all of which were either too narrow, too flat, or too unstable for his wide stance. This staircase is perfect for him, just deep enough and wide enough to feel solid overall. He still needs to get used to it, but I was able to get him to mount it the first night I put it together. So happyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • a good thing
Cons
  • almost never

I use a ladder for my dog to make it easier for him to get in and out of my truck. He has arthritis in his front legs, making it particularly difficult for him to jump off. He's waiting for me to get the ladder out of the truck and put it next to the truck door so he can get in or out. The ladder fits right behind the driver's seat of the truck, and while it's very strong, it's plastic so it's not difficult to move. My dog is a large lab, 110 pounds and they work great.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Some problems

MONTAGE IS TERRIBLE. NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DISASSEMBLE

EASY STEP 2 promised to be just what I was looking for - a big step for my aging pit bull. Received delivery today and had to stop assembling it. "Put A in D and if it's too tight smear the parts with mild soap." There is so much detail and wrap that my living room floor now looks like Christmas morning at the orphanage. In the end I found that putting the parts in by hand was impossible and working with a hammer only made the situation worse. Now I can't take the damn thing apart to return itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • boring packaging

Slippery, unstable and inclined downwards.

I ordered this for my 85 lb boxer because she is 9 now and needs a little nudge although she can jump onto the bed unaided. Some days are worse than others. The supposed "carpet" is made of nylon and is slippery, which, however, exacerbates the problem of instability. When installed, the staircase is inclined downwards. so slippage is inevitable. So the meaning of the stairs is the opposite of what they did. She slipped, she didn't even put any weight on it, and started jumping up and down near

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Great alternative to the ramp

We got this for our 75 pound 12 year old German Shepherd after she jumped out of a car one day and twisted her back. I chose these steps over the ramp because I was concerned I wouldn't always park somewhere with enough room behind the car to use the ramp. With them, you really only need 3 feet or so (less if your dog wants to and can turn when stepping forward). In our car (station wagon), the steps can be used to climb into the luggage compartment or the back seat and placed in the back seatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cat Doors, Railings & Steps
Cons
  • Updates

I've been waiting to write this review for more than a month. After researching ramps and steps I took a chance on buying the Pet Gear Easy Step II Extra Wide in hopes my dog would be comfortable with it. Features include a large breed dog, a 9 month old 112 lb Irish Wolfhound puppy and a BMW X5. We stopped putting the puppy in the passenger seat at 6 months. She got too heavy. However, we didn't want her to pop out on her own as she's over 3ft tall and delicate growing joints can suffer fromโ€ฆ

  • There are some nuances

Great for my 120lb American Bulldog!

So my husband and I recently bought a king bed with linens and it's a little higher than our old bed. We have an almost 9 year old 120 lb American Bulldog that always sleeps in the bed with us. He's getting older so I don't really want him to jump and with our new bed he doesn't always have time to jump so I finally had to collapse and climb the stairs. I did quite a bit of research before settling on this simple step 2, very broad. There's absolutely no way anything remotely small could workโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stairs & Steps
Cons
  • Extendable
