Not that hard but as I was threading the bottom pole to the umbrella it threaded wrong and wouldn't let me unscrew it. Stuck fast in the wrong position. All in all not a bad umbrella! I like how easy it was to deploy as a passing shower invaded my back yard. That said, the Velcro "sandbags" were time consuming to pour the washed play sand into. I had to jury-rig a makeshift half-funnel to feed the sand into the bag and still had issue since the Velcro opening was narrower than it should have been. I like the fact that the base doesn’t have to be filled with sand/water but that the bags sit on top of the base. If I want to move it at some point, it won’t be a big deal. I read some reviews where people were having issues filling the small-ish bags it came with. We bought 3x50 lbs of play sand, left it in the bags it came in and just arranged them around the pole. All the way around solid purchase , I'm very skeptical with Walmart as most of the products they sell are not authentic, out right garbage or just doesn't show up . Well I have to come back and say this did come apart where the arms fit into the fabric in 2 different places .I'd advise not to buy this .

The umbrella is very appropriate to cover a patio furniture setting. Assembly is quite easy, although you need to fill out 2 bags with sand that you need to buy separately. Once the bags are sand filled, the bags and the base become too heavy to move, so plan to leave your umbrella in a place where you do not need to move it frequently. Update: company responded and replaced the damaged umbrella with no problem! This umbrella was great for our deck! Provides large area coverage and protection from the sun. However, it is not exactly the sturdiest or most durable item. One of the cross bars snapped off in less than a month while we were opening it up. I expected the base to be plastic so I could fill it with sand OR water, but it's actually two metal bars with some rounded plastic corners and metal side bars then you fill two heavy fabric bags with sand and lay a fabric cover on top. I use this over my 7 x 12 ft deck and its perfect coverage! The only thing i dislike is that it tends to turn in a breeze and i have tightened it over and over but it still turns but i still love it 😍

This umbrella provides lots of shade. Surprising that it has no attached tie so you need sweatshirt laces or bungee cords!

I chose this patio umbrella because a lot of people bought it and the reviews were good. I bought this for the small yard of my new home . The shape of this umbrella is just right . It’s the kind I wanted and it didn’t disappoint me. The quality is good and easy to assemble ,it is a great consumption experience.

I love the size of this thing. Despite it's impressive wing-span, it's a breeze to open and close and it provides a tremendous amount of shade. Would have preferred the tie around the umbrella to use Velcro, but that's the only very minor complaint I can come up with. This feels like a great value.

This is a very large umbrella and it is very simple and intuitive to set up and use. It works great over a large rectangular table. The only downside is if it is windy it is a big sail and tends to turn, so it may not stay aligned over your table. I think you get a lot of bang for your buck and it is a lot stronger and more durable than I thought it would be. Everyone loves it and is fascinated by how it opens up as one umbrella but is actually 3 umbrellas.
