Turns on only when PoE device simulation is enabled on the switches

Pair of PoE network switches and PoE intermediate injectors I've had very mixed results. The two 60w intermediate injectors I tested with worked great. It turned on immediately without having to turn on the "PoE Device Simulation" switch. The Cisco switch I tested it on did not turn on or pass power until I turned on the Simulate PoE device switch. PoE Texas Tester Gen 2 is AWESOME!

This Texas 2nd Generation PoE Tester is a great tool! It does everything you need. And don't settle for less (or more expensive!). We urgently needed to determine performance metrics for a critical emergency communications deployment, including multiple AREDN MESH nodes that require <= 24 VDC (minimum 12 VDC) for a total power of 12 W (1/2 A). Great technique. Extremely bad production. made as cheaply as possible.

The engineers behind them are second to none. Unfortunately, probably because of the managers and CEOs, this was done as cheaply as possible. First, the font size on the display is about 1 point. If you don't have the vision of a 10-year-old, forget it. And if you're over 40, reading glasses won't help either. Time to pull out the magnifying glass. Also, it's a scrolling screen that makes it difficult to read. Also, they used VFD. This is a vacuum display case. They are invisible in the sun…
