Holds the wiring harness securely.

This worked great for adding a 7 pin trailer brake harness connector to my car. Simply attach this bracket to the underside of your car where you want to mount your headlights. Plug in a connector, also from this company, and you're done.

Holes fit but stick out too far!

On our 2018 crosshead, the attachment tab on the hitch protrudes too far for the plastic cover on the bumper to slide back after the connector is installed. I even drilled holes further back and it still didn't fit. Solution, took a dremel and cut a small hole in the plastic cover to make room for the headlight connector. looks ok But they'd rather build and test these things before just shipping them.

Perfect for installing an outlet when changing bumpers!

If you're replacing a rear bumper that had factory clearance for a 7-pin RV trailer light connector, this bracket is perfect for a good replacement installation. For my setup I cut the corner piece off leaving room to drill and attach the bracket with two 1/4-20 screws. Even after assembly, the lid opens without jamming. You can even cut a ring between the holes (right side in picture) and just spread the bracket apart for a second to get the wire harness through before mounting the socket, so…

Used to attach my new tow strap (99 Ford F-350) - works great

I recently replaced my old 7 way tow strap with a new one: https://www.amazon.com /gp /product/B001GBGA0GI wanted to reuse the old bracket but it was too small to drill new holes as they didn't line up. I tried but it just didn't work. Luckily I found this bracket and as far as I could tell the holes matched this harness so I went ahead and ordered it. When it arrived I was pleased to see that they really did line up perfectly, no drilling required. I used the nuts and bolts that came with this
