These are good strong clamps. I used plastic zip ties to prevent corrosion but they still failed. I decided to try metal. They are stronger than polypropylene clips and rubber tips hold more securely. All in all it's an excellent solution and I'm glad I took the risk.

These brackets are fantastically strong. The only complaint is that the coating on metal cases is slippery and needs to be treated before use. I've used these clips for hundreds and hundreds of splices without a single problem. No rust or corrosion, the orange plastic handle and tips are extremely durable and show no signs of wear.

These pony spring clamps are a real bargain. I also bought 24 clips of the same size for $35 and they have a significantly weaker spring. So much so that they couldn't close some connections. But when I placed the pony clips on the same knuckles, I had a satisfying hold. I wish I could buy more ponies and not even bother with a 24 pack.

The handle of the clamp is covered with a super smooth hard material. This makes it impossible to squeeze them, they just jump out of your hand. They're no stronger than the other 4-5 types of clips I have from HD, Lowes and the like, but these clips have a sticky silicone coating so they squeeze together easily. I don't recommend them unless you're willing to wrap them in some kind of cloth hockey tape.

Not a fan of cheap stuff and was sad to see Jorgensen/Pony up close a few years ago. I was concerned that the reborn company wouldn't live up to the name, but after getting a pair of their 12" F-Clamps I was impressed. As for spring clips, I've only had a few US made versions and really liked them. much compared to plastic from other manufacturers. So I tried these. Aside from being clean and shiny, they look, feel and weigh exactly like American ones.

Pony clips are a staple in the film industry. I have some that are 25 years old. They were made in the USA and worked perfectly. Now that they are made in China the rubber parts come off too easily. They constantly slide off - very annoying and leads to their loss. This has NEVER happened with Made in USA clamps. Never. Also, the springs are now uneven, one clamp is very strong and the other may be less strong. Just another example of a great American product getting lost in outsourcing. Shame.

If you use them for woodworking it shouldn't be too many, I have about 2 dozen of these and I could use them 3 times more. My wife has actually started using them too, which could mean I need four times as much. The clamping force is strong enough to hold heavy work in place. I've used them recently to hold curved wood in place and never had a problem. I've used them to hold a variety of pieces together for gluing and even used them to create "stops" for repeat cuts.
