Porter Cable N246884 Manifold Assembly Review

This product is a perfect match for my Craftsman Compressor 919.16727. Works like new. Note. There is a hose on the back of this manifold that clamps on. The original clamp wasn't reusable, so I carefully cut it off with a grinder. You will need a small hose clamp to attach the old hose to the new manifold.

Works great, my air compressor is like new again. Easy to install and does exactly what it's supposed to. It will automatically turn off when it reaches the maximum reservoir PSI of 150 PSI and the adjustment is working properly to set the desired pressure based on the tool being used. Good buy for this money. We'll see how long it lasts, but so far so good.

This elbow is made differently than my original Porter Cable elbow. In this modification there is no compression plug. This is maybe the best design, but I have to pay much more attention to the pressure regulation. For example, if you have a full tank set at a regulated pressure of 80psi and then abruptly empty the tank, you may notice what I am describing.
