Very bad swing. suitable for grinding and finishing materials

Unfortunately I ignored the reviews on this product and bought it anyway. Guilty. The grinding wheel looks good, arrived in good condition - no dents or nicks. It looks "correct" when it comes to being round. But he has a very BAD swing. The attached video shows the wheel turning (the noise comes from the spoked wheel on the other spindle). My concern is that the grinding wheel can literally self-destruct during use. So now thoughts on whether to face the hassle of returning it or just leave it

Was it just luck? good for table and stand grinding wheels

Anyone who complains in advance that they wear out quickly when grinding hard metal is far from the mark. All carbides are hard. If you want to sharpen carbide, use diamond instead of other carbides. Maybe the quality control on these circles is very loose? People often complain that they are not balanced. The one I received was so perfectly balanced that you could use the grinder without attaching it to a workbench! Not that anyone did. MUCH better than my previous wheel. So far I've only used

Not silicon carbide as advertised, don't even try.

As far as I can tell, this is not a silicon carbide wheel. I had not finished sharpening a dull carbide blade and was covered in dust with a huge groove on the wheel that was almost 1/2 inch deep. If you look at the carbide on the tool, it wasn't even scratched. on my hand grinder did all 32 cutting blades on my machine and showed almost no wear. If you need to sharpen carbide tools, check out other silicon carbide discs. Update: I got a real Green Wheel silicon carbide and took a picture with…

  • An absolute legend
Cons

Works perfect! It's like having a new meat grinder again.

All I can say is amazing. I bought a grinding wheel and wire wheel from Sears a while ago and I haven't been able to use my grinder much because those wheels that have knock out holes for different size shafts are awful. I tried balancing them, but those cheap plastic bushings created so much vibration I thought the wheels would fall apart. I went to Revain and found these Powertec wheels with a true 1/2" mount. I am very happy with them, there is no vibration and they grind perfectly. It's…
