Useful, durable clip

This clip can be used as a mount for a range of table saw carriage kits. It is well made and promises a long service life. The screw base makes it posable, and the rubber foot, although it moves easily from side to side, is enough to secure the work piece when cutting at an angle or to secure the work piece to a conical jig. This one tightens as it moves up.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Exactly what I need

These clamps are very durable and of high quality. The clamping action is the opposite of what I've seen with other clamp clamps. To secure the clip, push/pull the handle towards the rubber tip. It suits my needs exactly and I'm glad this particular design is available. I would suggest looking at the photos in the listing to make sure the direction of the clamp matches your specific needs. I am very comfortable.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • The list is long.

Useful and effective

They sat for a while before I began to appreciate their usefulness. I make beautiful boxes. It's a quick and easy way to cut the perfect line for edge bonding or cut grooves for inserts. They hold tight and won't damage any of the surfaces. I wish I could clamp a thicker piece as they seem to have a maximum thickness of about half an inch. I might buy another pair and pick them up when I mount them. A smart, useful device when you need to work on fairly small details.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Great for table saws, carriage splicers

I bought these because I wanted to be able to splice 2x4 and 2x6 lumber to build cheap solid furniture for my kids and they still work great . Verticals are worth the extra money, especially if you have a table saw like the Dewalt 745, as there isn't much room for a wide carriage. Because the hooks are clamped in a vertical position, you can have a fairly narrow sled without worrying about the hooks cutting into the table saw guard. I'll probably take another pair to build a sled that's better…

  • Out of fashion

Good Surface Clamp

The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the product description doesn't make it clear that it's a SURFACE clamp. Basically it is a flat clamp +- 1/4 inch. ie, without an additional latch placed on the same surface as the workpiece, the workpiece can be up to 1/4 inch thick, or the pad can be adjusted to clamp 1/4 inch below the level of the platter. Yes you can clamp a 2" board but only if you mount it on a 2" block. Just like you can secure a 6 foot block if you mount it on top of a 6

  • Hand Tool

  • Disappearance

Worth the extra cost compared to cheaper but similar Revain items

Torn between buying this clamp and another clamp here on Amazon which appears to be very small but much cheaper. I needed something that would hold the wood securely as I was creating a tapered clip for the back of an Adirondack chair that has the slats wider at the top than at the bottom to give it a fan shape. These clamps worked perfectly for holding the wood securely on a cone jig, which I made by running a cedar board through a table saw. The results were excellent and I think the slightly
