perfect fit, solid construction

They fit snugly into 1/2" holes without moving. However, they are not so tight that they stubbornly turn or change position. Great addition to the shop.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I'll write back

Really comfortable and very economical.

I just finished my new workbench and drilled dog holes for the first time. There are all kinds of benches out there but they are inexpensive and fit my 3/4 inch holes well. They stick out of the ground less than half an inch and are plastic so they don't hit my plane if I hit it. Easier than cutting a dowel!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • There are flaws

Fit too loose for power tool parts and accessories

Received these hoping I could leave them with my partner if I keep them. No chance. They are too loose to stay on the table when folded and stored. They won't hold things very well either. When tightened, the loose fit causes them to tilt up and push the workpiece off the surface. Because of this, you can't get a good strong clamp on things. I would not advise looking at other bench dogs.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Couldn't be cheaper

I bought these hoping they would fit my old B&D Workmate, but unfortunately the 3/4" pins went too loose in my Workmate's 20mm dog holes . I later made a set of replacement jaws for a friend's newer Workmate 300 because the original chipboard jaws were falling apart. I made them with 3/4" holes and those plastic latches worked great. I gave them to her with new jaws and she couldn't be happier. They fit snugly and are easy to put on and take off.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic
