Highland Farms Select Premier 6ft Leather Dog Training Leash: Perfect for Hunting Dogs or General Obedience in the Backyard! Review

I don't usually review products, but I feel misled. This leash is not made in the USA, although they put an American flag on it to give the impression that they are. In addition, the clasp is not made of copper but of lacquered stainless steel. The quality seems good but I doubt the durability as they are above where it was made.

Maybe I'll pick the rating, but it's very thin for me. Then, during a break in class, my dog "bite" (she was still cutting her teeth) at the skin where it was cut and laced so there were no seams I believe and it tore. Luckily the trainer/tamer had an extra leash. That might be fine for a toy or small dog, but no more than 10 pounds.

My mini golddoodle weighs 22 pounds. This leash was sufficient. Gentle on the hands. Unfortunately, I spoke to a friend while walking with Hogan. It's my fault for not paying attention. To my surprise it took him 5 seconds to bite through the leash. We recommend that you order a thicker leash. Now I use a strong nylon line. But the skin is much more comfortable for the hands. Liked it while it lasted.

I really like this leash. Very well made in the USA. The styling and tech are fantastic - no boots or robots ripping through leather. After my GSD chewed on its first line (my fault) I had to replace it. The price is great compared to cheap Chinese nylon leashes at every store I've been to. I like the feel of the skin. I LOVE the firmness of the skin when my dog attacks the "sights". I highly recommend this strap. I went from 4-5 stars as the leash is perfect!

Just bought a Shiba Inu puppy and he is very good. Only 12 pounds as we say but it will go up to 25. I have an experienced trainer who taught him to heal, sit, lie down and stay. When I first ordered this leash I really liked it. We now have another puppy and I decided to order one for him too and when he got here he was completely different from the one I had previously ordered. The hardware is different, the leather is thinner than the original and much shorter than the original. I like the original I got much better than the one I got for my new pup. I wish they were more consistent with their product and they weren't trying to save money by cutting the line shorter…
