I have sensitive skin, especially on the neck. This gave me a very close shave (I used a Gilette Premium blade; wanted to try more as I bought it with a test set of many blades from different brands). First I tried it on a small spot on my leg as I was afraid of cutting myself. This thing pulls my hair out without even realizing I've missed something, leaving a trail of fallen hair in its wake. I thought my original lord was L6? Maybe it was L5? I was disappointed with this one: it was longer, the head was heavier and the razor was held in place with two mounting holes and pins rather than the thinner original which was held in place by springs at the front of the razor. I wasn't expecting much from this razor but I can tell you it will give you a great shave. When my facial hair is very long, I usually trim it with clippers and then proceed to shave my face. When I received this razor I hadn't shaved for almost a week. I didn't use the clippers, I lathered my face with shaving cream, took a bowl of cold water and started shaving, it went through long hair which wasn't possible with a disposable razor. I bought this razor in September 2011. Now, in 2017, it's finally wasted. The threads from above don't stick to the threads in the handle. But 6 years for a $10 razor is amazing.
