Very disappointed. I bought these to apply polycryl to a shelf I was just painting. Sure, the stain probably lifted the texture a bit, but after sanding (before applying the poly) the wood felt smooth. The first layer of resin rose well and I sanded it again to smooth out the brush strokes. So far no problems. I bought them because we just bought a new house and the new house needs a lot of painting! This is our third house that we own so I've painted a lot over the years and used a lot of brushes.
