Made very cheaply: power tools and hand tools

I have used many professional tools and have always been very satisfied with their quality. This cartridge is very incompatible with the name proxxon. Save time by coming back and passing it on.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Other Other

Proxxon is a nice little cartridge. It is made of plastic but is very strong and durable. I would have rated it higher if it didn't have a very odd thread size to attach to. I use this chuck on an old Dremel lathe and made an adapter for it, but I had to order a 60X1mm metric die for it. Found a six dollar cube from China so not too bad a miss but this size and thread pattern is rare!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Crumpled

I think I was too excited about the price and didn't read the page like I usually do, overlooking the fact that this cartridge is plastic. All plastic. And I'm pretty sure it's not self-centered for what it's worth. I couldn't screw it to the jet so I couldn't try. I was really hoping and looking for a 3 or 4 jaw chuck that would be self centering and stand up to my use. I will search. I heard Psi has a great mini cartridge. If

When you change the direction of the jaws

This is a great little chuck for the DB 250, but it's a little tricky to change the direction of the jaws when you need to. Here are some tips on how to do it once I get used to it. . .1) After removing the chuck from the lathe, hold it face up and jaws out. 2) Push out one of the cams but leave the threaded adjustment rod inside. Be careful not to fall out. 3) After the cam is extended, turn it over and gently bring it to the outside wall of the chuck in line with the adjustment rod. 4) Now…

  • That's great
